URGENT CALL TO ACTION
Please contact your Representative and ask him to vote "NO" on House Bill HR5 - Student Success Act. This is top priority because it will be voted upon next week.
Tell him:
Vote NO for HR5 - Student Success Act. This bill adds more federal mandates and spending to education. We the people are fighting hard to regain control of education and passing this will not only negate that hard work, but make it impossible for us to have any input in our children's education. It also gives unprecedented power to the federal Secretary of Education by allowing him to have the final authority over an individual state's standards (Common Core standards or any other standards), assessments, and accountability system. Our Tenth Amendment gives this authority to the States. We must stop this federal overreach and constant effort to control education.
This should scare you and motivate you to contact your legislators in Washington. Many of them are home this week, so please call their local offices in addition to their DC offices.

November 6, 2014 Press Release For Immediate Release
Tea Party of Louisiana endorses Bill Cassidy for US Senator
Baton Rouge - The Tea Party of Louisiana (TPoL) endorses United States Congressman Bill Cassidy for Louisiana’s next US Senator.
We are extremely proud and honored to be the largest Louisiana Tea Party group to publicly endorse Congressman Bill Cassidy for US Senate in his runoff election against incumbent Mary Landrieu. Our endorsement of Bill Cassidy to replace Mary Landrieu as our next US Senator is based solely on his record of working with the people in trying to deal with the problems we face in reducing government, taxes and spending versus his opponent, Mary Landrieu, and her actual Obama’s agenda voting record. He has earned our endorsement and support and it’s time for all Louisiana conservatives to speak up for Bill Cassidy.
TPoL feels Bill Cassidy will, without question, best represent us in helping stop the tyrannical Obama agenda, and in repealing Obamacare and replacing it with a true health care reform bill that will build on the greatest health care system in the world instead of destroying it.
TPoL had previously endorsed Bill Cassidy for his first term as our 6th District US Congressman and for his re-election. Congressman Bill Cassidy has a proven servant career in the medical field and has translated that same vigor in representing the people of his district in Congress. Congressman Bill Cassidy has a strong proven record of making himself available to the people, listening to their input, answering their questions and discussing the hard issues and returning to Congress and representing his constituents based on his interaction with the people as demonstrated by his active participation in Town Halls throughout the District during these trying times.
Join with the Tea Party of Louisiana and help us elect Bill Cassidy as our next US Senator and send Mary Landrieu back to her Washington DC home on her own dime and not on the back of the Louisiana tax payers for another 6 years! Let’s make our Louisiana voter turnout for the December 6 election a record conservative turnout, and elect Bill Cassidy as our next US Senator.
Bob Reid, spokesman
Board of Directors Member
TEA Party of Louisiana
